Project: Fort Tourgis
Fort Tourgis
Fort Tourgis was built in 1855 on the British Channel Island of Alderney. The Victorian fort is being converted into a 5-star conference hotel. This is being done in partnership with Exclusive Hotels, a British hotel organisation with a number of similar hotels in its portfolio. The hotel rooms – 72 in total – will be located in the former barracks. The drill field will be covered to create an atrium with a reception area, lobby and reception rooms. A restaurant, swimming pool and sauna will be built in the first defence wall around the fort.
