Waterfront

The former office building of the firm Grondmij is situated on the edge of the picturesque historical centre of the city of Gorinchem. The building is being converted into 14 apartments and a penthouse. Dating from the early 2000s, the building is a striking red-brick structure that consists of five floors. The entrance on the ground floor will be preserved, as will the elevator, the stairwell and the small-scale office space. The façade of the building, however, will be changed dramatically: every apartment is to get a spacious balcony on the sunny side of the building, with a view of the Merwedekanaal, the marina and the earthen embankments around the city centre of Gorinchem.
